Morgan was a featured actress on the AIDS prevention and education video Safe Sex for Men and Women. A portion of the profits were donated to American Foundation for AIDS Research. She's a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the primary driver behind many fund-raising campaigns for the disease. She also addressed a Congressional special committee that focused on AIDS education. She sits member of the Board of Governors of APLA and the Board of Directors of Amfar. C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon-general of Canada has requested that she replace him for a number of AIDS associated events. Additionally she hosted the AIDS Awareness Special alongside Steve Bell. Ted Koppell asked her to be on two occasions on Nightline regarding AIDS. Morgan received an Emmy nomination for a special episode of Murphy Brown written for her by Diane English. In spring, she was a guest with Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer started with Murder At The PTA Luncheon. The movie was created Von Zerneck/Sertner. It also featured Cindy Williams & Marla Gibbs. Her next film was Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady along with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also played in an action-packed psychological thriller created exclusively by USA Network. This thriller was a huge success and earned the top ratings of all time for that network.
